This weekend the teams took part in the Rapture Gaming Festival with huge success! The event was jam packed over the weekend with a wide range of things for the visitors to do, from competing for prizes to getting their hands on some retro gaming hardware and games.
The Games Hub took to the Indie section, where it was an excellent opportunity for the teams to get their games in front of the gaming public (as well as offering the odd bowl of sweets :)).
Nysko Games didn’t stop all weekend as people couldn’t get enough of their game The Dwarves of Glistenveld. Arplex Studios showed of their latest version of Rail Warriors. Teaboy Games had their imminent release of Pendulum, along with a rather cool Makey Makey controller! Flitch got a chance for the first public play of their puzzle game Klink. Newly founded Wayward Worlds demonstrated their online and local multiplayer Arenas of Magic. And finally the award-winning Sketchbook Games continued to show their leaps in progress of Lost Words.
We also held a “Best Indie of Show” award, that was kindly judged by the Colchester Institute. Sketchbook Games won first prize and Flitch Games Klink came second. Much deserved all round!
It was an amazing event and we pass on thanks to all the guys and gals at Fragers for putting on what was an amazing show. We can’t wait for the next one!
In the meantime…..
Everyone is in preparation for the Norwich Gaming Festival in a couple of weeks time, where you can join us and play on some of the games from the Wednesday 31st till the 3rd!
