At The Games Hub, one of our main goals is to help get indie game development teams up on their feet and producing their first game. We work in rounds, and by the end of each, we hope teams will have developed a game or prototype, and a business plan and pitch to take to investors.
This leads us to this month’s article, where we’ll be talking about one of those teams: Nysko Games.
Nysko joined The Games Hub in its third round and are still based with us. They’ve been working hard over the past two years and their game, The Dwarves of Glistenveld, is finally nearing its completion and is going to be released next month!
The team has been led by its two founders Martyn Hinson (Lead Designer), who studied Games Design at the University of Bedfordshire, and Perry Monschau (Lead Programmer), who studied Computer Science and AI at The University of Essex. But of course, these aren’t the only two behind The Dwarves of Glistenveld, and you can read more about everyone by clicking here.
The team is both nervous and excited to finally see all of their hard work come to fruition and they can’t wait to share it with you.
So what is The Dwarves of Glistenveld about?
The Dwarves of Glistenveld
The Dwarves of Glistenveld is a 2.5D real-time strategy game in which you control a clan of dwarves as they fight to retake their homeland from a horde of goblins. Now driven underground, help the dwarves explore the unknown as you mine, forage, build and fight your way through this forgotten underworld!
It’s been a long journey for Nysko Games, but they are confident they are going to meet their main objective of creating an engaging, entertaining and accessible game!
We’re so happy to have supported another game to its completion and we hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we will!
You can already find them on Steam by clicking here and adding the game to your wishlist!
