We’ve been pretty busy at The Games Hub over the past few months. We’ve received new sponsorship from AppBox Media, opened the next round of applications to our programme, and – if you hadn’t noticed – redesigned the website.
On this new website, we’re going to be blogging about everything going on at The Games Hub. We’ll be sharing updates on the games our teams are working on, information on events in the games industry we’re attending and valuable advice from the expert speakers who come in to talk to us.
In the meantime, we’ve got loads to tell you about what we’ve been up to recently…
Support from AppBox Media
We’re over the moon to announce that the wonderful people at AppBox Media are going to be sponsoring The Games Hub.
This first year-long sponsorship programme will see two joint ‘hackathons’ between AppBox and The Games Hub, and participants in The Games Hub programme will also be submitting entries to AppBox’s APPrentice competition.
We’ll be announcing more on this in the coming weeks. For now, let’s just say that we’re delighted to be working with AppBox.
Applications are open
It’s that time again – don’t forget that applications are OPEN for the next round of The Games Hub.
We’re looking for aspiring games and app developers to participate in our computer games development programme, based at the University of Essex Colchester Campus. The course will be running from October 2017-May 2018, and covers a broad range of topics in both computer games development and business management.
You can find more information on how to apply on the new “Apply” page on our website. Speaking of which…
The Games Hub website
At The Games Hub HQ we’re getting out the party poppers after rebuilding the website from scratch.
As well as working on the look of the site, we’ve also reorganised where everything sits, so it should be a bit easier for you to find out about who we are, what you can expect from joining our computer games development course, and – most importantly – see a snapshot of the games that our amazing teams are currently working on.
And, of course, there’ll be plenty more to come in future as we post up more information to the blog.
