Among all the events we’ve got going on this year (including hosting the UKIE Hub Crawl tomorrow, the Big Indie Pitch on the 1st March, and being named as a new Transfuzer Hub for 2018 – phew!), we’re also keen to make sure that we keep our programme open to anyone who’s interested in learning how to build a game or app. That’s what we’re here for, after all!
We had some feedback from some interested students last term that there were a few timetabling issues that meant that they couldn’t attend the Wednesday sessions, and in general that the first term at uni was busier than expected!
We’re therefore opening up the programme to those of you who kept intending to come in last term but never quite made it in.
We’ll be holding booster sessions throughout February to help anyone new who wants to join The Games Hub to catch up, covering:
- Careers in the games industry
- Games design and app development
- Structured time to start building a game or app of your own
- Feedback on your design/prototype
- Digital art and animation, using Photoshop, Maya, 3DS Max, Premier, and After Effects
We had our first sessions last week, and the booster sessions will continue to be held on Wednesdays at 2pm and Thursdays at 11pm (a repeat of the Wednesday session) throughout February.
If you’d like to come along, just send us an email at info[at]thegameshub.com
Looking forward to introducing some more of you to the programme!
