We’re excited to announce that we’re a 2018 Tranzfuser Hub!
Not sure what that means?
Well, for starters it means the opportunity to win some funding for your game…
What is Tranzfuser?
Organised by UK Games Talent and Finance CIC (UKGTF) and funded by the UK Government, Tranzfuser is aimed at graduates looking to break into the games development industry, with a strong focus on getting their game to market.
Now in its third year, teams of talented graduates are invited to apply to take part in the summer-long competition to work collaboratively on turning their game ideas in to actual working projects.
How does it work?
Teams work on their project from June to September with support from their local hub (and yes, you heard it right – this year you’ll be able to name The Games Hub as your local hub!), with the aim of producing a demo that can be taken to the Tranzfuser showcase event at the end of September. Successful team leaders will also be awarded a £5,000 budget towards their project.
At the Tranzfuser showcase event, teams will present their prototype games at a prestigious consumer games show where they will pitch for a grant of up to £25,000 from the UK Games Fund.
So what do you need to do to apply?
Graduates are invited to apply as:
- Individuals looking to build their own team or;
- Individuals on behalf of their team.
Applications are open until Monday 12th March, and specific information on criteria regarding teams made up of students and graduates is available on the Tranzfuser website.
